OUR CENTER

The Center houses a permanent exhibition, where the most significant objects recovered during the archaeological excavations of the village are exhibited. The visit begins with an audiovisual that tells us about the historical background and the events that led to the founding of the city.
Through the existing scenographies, the visitor will be able to know, through a guided tour, the main rooms of a Roman house such as the atrium (inner courtyard), the lararium (altar), the culina (kitchen), the triclinium (living room- dining room), the cubiculum (bedroom) and the tabernae (shop), knowing the main aspects of the daily life of the Romans. The visit to the site is free and its foundation and urban layout is explained during the visit to the Domus.

The visit can be combined with the Cantabrian-Roman Archeosite of Camesa-Rebollero and the Interpretation Center of the Romanesque in Villacantid.

m of the Cultural Centers of Cantabria, which collects updated information on all activities related to the enhancement of the artistic and archaeological heritage of Cantabria: guided tours, workshops and didactic activity notebooks.

It is not just an informative website, but also a didactic resource platform to provide schools with an approach and better knowledge of its main contents. It is a meeting place between the vestiges of our past and people with educational needs.
